sorry mate but you are screwed - your wii is bricked by nintendo for being region changed, nothing to do with your chip....if you can take it back to the shop you bought it from, if not, carefully open it up and fry the nand chip with a car battery before sending it back to nintendo...

    Exclamation same problem

I'm facing same problem and I issued a case with Wii support and I got a stupid reply guiding me to put it into garbage.....
It is not my mistake ... the device bought from a famous shop but they insist to punish the users instead of following their products of developing better way for piracy ......

we have to find some way using the low to get our rights ......

Got the same error yesterday after the system update... I'm in egypt also and don't know if any shop or professional service that can repair this.

Should I consider buying a new one and through this one at garbage (zibala)

you should really have words with the shop you bought it from.....failing that you could sell it for spares on ebay.

Sounds like a nightmare. Would formatting the Wii do any good?
