if i cant update to 4.2 then how am i supposed to be able to play NSMB from the disk then? I keep getting a green screen, and from what i understand, its because i need to update to 4.2. I have a 4.1u system, cios38 rev 15, and im using neogamma R7. any ideas then ?

You don't need 4.2 update to play NSMB from what I can make out. Search for the topic on this forum, 'How to play NSMB' I didn't patch the iso and got the same problem then once I patched it the game worked like an absolute charm.

ok, ill try to patch it and see if that works, but im pretty sure the copy i have is already patched, but ill give it a go.

also, the directions say to take the main.dol out of the game, but there is a main.dol in 2 different partitions on the nsmb. which one to i use?

Not sure, I just made sure that coverfloader had the Error_002 fix applied to the launcher options.

One of my Wiis is a 4.1U and right now I cannot load from the disk channel because the disk channel says "Wii Update". So I am forced to use the Backup Loader. This is fine except that this Wii is normally used by a seven year old AND all her little friends.

How do I make the Wii Update go away from the disk loader channel?

FYI... I had the same problem a few days ago. I got beatles rockband for christmas and the Wii Update was in its place. I installed Gecko with the intent to launch it from there . After running Gecko and applying IOS56 during Gecko setup, I haven't seen the Wii Update since. Still at 4.0U.

I have no idea if Gecko or IOS56 "fixed" the problem... maybe the Wii Update screen will come back eventually... just passing along my experience. Good luck!
