about 8 of them installed just fine, but while I was backing up wii fit it got hung at 20% for about 2.5 hours.
Had this yesterday too. We thought it might be bad sectors on the HDD. Once the chap got past the area on the disc everything worked fine. I don't think WBFS has the bad sector management that FAT32/NTFS has.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

alright so I reformatted wbfs partition and reinstalled a few games and now it's hung on resident evil 4 at 48% it's been there for about 3hrs now. Pretty sure it's bad sectors of the hdd. I'm gonna let it keep trying for the rest of the day and see what happens. Thanks for the help and if anyone else has any input, I welcome it. again thank you.

The thing is bad sectors are not all that common, unless of course you are running an old drive in a hot enclosure.

hmmm, the thing is i'm not quite sure what else it could be. it seems that out of nowhere the hdd starts having trouble being written to. before i reformatted again, re4 ripped just fine and now it's hung, so it doesn't seem to be game specific. The loader still does it's job as far as playing the backups etc. so it doesn't seem to be software. and the same write problem occurs using wiiflow's install AND on wbfs manager. i wish i knew for sure before i go and buy a new hdd. I never have had problems out of seagates and this is the first WD i've ever had and it's crashed once already and now this.

    Hijacking this thread...

This thread was the closest related thread i could find...

I cant get WiiFlow to read my WBFS-partition, heres my setup:

    #1 WD Passport 230GB USB-Drive
    Partitions:
    ¤1. ~4GB FAT32: Where i start WiiFlow, UsbLoader, Emulators
    ¤2. 60GB WBFS: WiiISO's goes here
    ¤3. 60GB NTFS: Other stuff...

Running USB Loader 1.5 everything runs smoothly...
games tried: Mario Galasy, Metroid, Paper Mario...

WiiFlow: Loading WiiFlow trough HomeBrew-Channel works great, but then i encounter the following error:

    WBFS_read: -1
    Could not read WBFS-partition...

Hitting "install" doesn't do anything but changing themes and so on works.

Anyone had the same issue? is there a workaround?

Set the WBFS partition to primary and active, that should allow it to be read.

The WBFS Partition is set to primary and active as far as i know, USB Loader reads it as a peace of cake :S

I need som help installing wiiflow
I have just used the guide for 4.1 softmod, and everything is working. I have used WBFS and succesfully usb loaded via NeoGammaR7. I don't know where to go from now.

I don't want to use a preloader, but want to start things manually (forwarder?).

I downloaded Wiiflow_Lite1.1. I have prepared my HD with Fat and WBFS partitions.. What do i do next?

    Thank you

    EDIT*
All I had to do was install the one WAD file that was in the zip folder And of course rename one of the app folders to wiiflow..
Now, let's see if I can make it play!!!

Have you checked to see that your harddrive is compatible with loading?
Have you installed the "channel" or whatever it is called trough WAD installer?
