USB Loader: Chipped, need to Softmod?

    Hi all,

I've done a little searching but don't seem to find an answer.

I have a Wii chipped with a D2Sun and have been very happy with it. Back when I fitted it, USB loaders were just a dream. I'd love to have a go at the USB loader and have all my games on a bus powered hard disk, but have a couple of questions:

    1. As my wii is chipped, do I need to do all the soft modding steps to get usb loader working? Or will the chip mean that a complete softmod is not required?
    2. Assuming I do have to softmod, can I leave the mod chip fitted while I get my softmod & loader working? Will they conflict? I'd like to leave the chip in while I get my head round the various softmod stages and get it all working.

Thanks for any help you can be.

    1. Just do it all. Hardmod and Softmod are very different.
    2. Leave it in, I've never come across any conflicts. Remember the modchip changes the way the drive works while the softmod changes just software.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.
