Any way to connect multiple wiimotes during homebrew?

So I've noticed a few homebrew apps allow for multiple players and support only the wiimote but I can't seem to connect more than one wiimote at a time for any kind of homebrew.. Is there a trick to this that I'm missing or something?

Yes I could but they would always disconnect after starting HBC. In any case, I figured out that the problem was that my wiimotes weren't all properly paired. (Press red button on wiimote beside the batteries, then press red button on the wii beside the sd slot.) after I properly paired all the wiimotes It worked flawlessly even on emulators.

Thanks for your response though messie
