Booting a backup restarts to System Menu..

After spending an hour trying to get my damn Wii Sports Resort backup to work [burnt untouched ISO in ImgBurn at 2.4x speed on a DVD-R] I cannot seem to get it working. My native backup booting methods I initially tryed failed. Everything seemed to go fine, game was bout to boot up, screen flashed green, then the boot screen for the wii system menu popped up, followed by the system menu itself. Basically my Wii restarts itself without actually rebooting the whole system.

After some research and what not, apparently installing cIOS36_rev10-Installer followed by using NeoGamma R6 works great. So using HBC I installed the dol for that, threw NeoGamma R6 in apps folder, launched neogamma and it gave me the same "restarting" problem. If anyone has any suggestions, im willing to try anything. Thanks.

Search for the massive Wii Sports Resort thread with details of how to launch an alternate dol.

Hi, thanks for the quick response! I found an alternate dol thread which instructed me to use WiiScrubber, extract the player.dol, re-name it etc. I set the config in NeoGamma to boot from Altern. Dol and the game booted fine.

Now one more problem has arised....The freaking MotionPlus movie menu. The game boots up into the Movie Menu for wii motion plus [info vids all about it and stuff]. I've tryed booting the game without MotionPlus attached and with it but the menu keeps coming up. The only thing I can do is click Return To Game which repeats my last problem. All the "Return to Game" button does is reload the Wii boot screen, then load the system menu. Thanks again for your time, but do you have any suggestions on this problem?

I let it play all of them then replayed the last one a few times. Nothing happened. I will try and play them all individually again, but any other suggestion?

Probably should have read the other thread more thoroughly. :P

You now need to go back in and change the alternate dol setting to off and avoid the demo movie button in the game, my kids keep pressing it and we have to watch the video again.

Wow I feel like an idiot lol, the thread I went to just had alternate dol files, it wasn't the Wii Sports thread. Thanks for all your help though, I did what you said and the game is fine now. Thanks!!
