you will be fine using the forwarder for now... also do you have bootmii? and if your wii was made before mid 2008 do you have boot2? so you can make a backup of your nand.

ok did some research and looks like plenty of e sysmenu's have this channel on it and are fine..

when saved to computer rename ULNR.file to ULNR.wad
    that is the newest version

It's just games that have regions, don't worry hack software tends to be universal.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

Cheers guys, found an app WAD Checker and did a quick check before I logged back in here. It seems both are region free. I'm just a bit paranoid that i'll brick my daughters Wii. She has a mighty punch for a 6 year old LOL

also on a side note, what are the preferences, Loaders or channels? pros/cons

What do you mean Loaders or channels?

You use a loader to run a backup game. You can either run the loader from an SD via homebrew or install it as a channel and be able to use it from there, without the SD card. However if you install it as a Forwarder it will be like a channel with a shortcut to the SD card, so you will still need it. To me it is preferrable to have a channel than do all this mess with the SD

Yes I guess it's simpler as a forwarder but you will have to plug your SD in the wii in order to use them. On the other hand Channels are more convenient and you should be able to uninstal them using AnyTitleDeleter, then install the new one. Well, it's not that you will update your loader daily, once you have one working, you might want to stick with it. For example i have still the long outdated Gamma 0.3 as i m bored to change it until I really have to
