plz can someone help me i have 4.2e wii and when i try to run backups with vertibram dvd-rw it says dvd error 1101 it says on the bottom of neogamma ios249 rev 14 plzzzzzzzzzzzz help!!!!!!!!
im a noob myself,been burning discs for a few weeks now and only about 1 in 15 dont seem to work.i think its the rewritable discs,didnt work when i tried,same error.use proper dvd-r or sometimes i use + though your not supposed to. Im uk, ive tried tescos £10.00 for 50!!! And they work great and maxell,try some of those,its a media issue i think not an iso image problem.hope that helped hassaan.
hassaan,alright!! if your buying tescos buy dvd+ havent tried -,cheap and about 94% success rate,also maxell on offer usually about £11 now £5 something for 25 think better quality not 1 disc turned out wrong even new games.make sure got up to date ioses installed eg 53,55 etc to play new games(thread somewhere on this site).thank me if i helped at bottom, havent got a proper thanks before!!cheers m8!!

glad i helped,your soon get hang of it although lots of reading to do about updating things etc.do you know how to install wads etc?? ifnot give me a quick reply and ill help you with what i know,im no expert but have learnt a bit now e.g.you can check what ios the game runs on in 'ios patcher' and wiiscrubber tells you allioses on the disc.i thanked you for beeing so polite!!!see ya!!
I have been reading through this thread because 1101 error has been destroying me!!
Im Running 3.4e, Rev14 249, R7 etc...
Tried the Rev 10 and R6 route and it didnt work.
Everything was ok until recently.
I have downloaded Bandhero & Mario & Sonic Winter games and burned them as usual on Memorex DVD-R using image burn @ x1.
They both come up with 1101, went through back cat of games and now Mrs Twicks in a piss with me because her American Idol 1 does the same.
I've had some experience playing with my wii tonight.. I had some 1101 errors, so i went out and bought a TDK -R disc, burned it at 4x (thats the slowest i could) and it got past the 1101 error, actually identified the disk, started to load with a green flash then stuck at a black screen and the wii is not responsive.. This was using REV14 with Neogamma 7 .
So i tried downgrading the CIOS to 53 and now i'm not sure what version i'm on anymore as i've been installing crap all night.. BUt now that same disc that used to load gives a simple 1101 error. I have a feeling certain versions of CIOS will report the 1101 error while others will not.
Btw I dont believe this -R only rumor becuase i've burned other things on TDK +R's that work fine, I tried those SAME discs with another iso (shooting bad things on a spaceship) and it will not play just constant 1101's. So i'm not sure what the deal is... But i think its something to do with mis-matching cios with files on disc or something. Becuase those same discs worked on OTHER things. Just having a huge problem with this specific .iso
