    anyway...
My point was to help that guy. Theres no sense in having the guy go around looking for a certain type of disc when the disc itself is most likely not his problem. Theres plenty of bad advice on here, and saying that only -R discs work is part of that.

We could sit here bleeding from our vaginas all day or we could try to help eachother. Your choice.

Its not BS at all DVD+r cause nothing but problems if you stick with good DVD-R you should be ok and I found out the hard way and wasted around 100 discs over time so stick with DVD-R and you should be ok

    Thanks gramps!

Also DVD+R has different structure than -R so it puts great strain on the lens in order for the wii to read it. So in time, DVD+R are more probable to cause problems to the lens than -R. This is well known, I will not argue with you on that subject, you are the only one who supports +R, that's your problem.

Yep most people go with DVD-R so you gotta go with that .
To the O.P I would start from scratch an use dog eggs tut to soft modding your wi. if you have installed Cioscorp3.3 get shut of it, look in the HB section and download the file thats in the thread headed WORKING:cioscorp removal run that then re mod the wii using dog eggs files .this should sort you out and you can reinstall Cioscorp 3.3 later but I would advise against it and use neogamma R6 instead. hope this helps you out.

To each their own I guess. I know I have no problems, and have researched the subject in depth. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying that you are not 100% correct in saying that only -R will work. In all actuallity +R discs read better at high speeds, are more accurate, and have less of a chance of running into interference. You could do some research on the subject yourself, and maybe not be an ass in the process when posting here. Remember the aim of this forum is to help folks, not insult them.

ok the forum is flooded with threads and tutorials stating that DVD+R put huge strain on the lens (never said there is no chance they will work) and are more likely to harm the drive... if you continue to recommend +Rs.... you are the only one maybe...

any way don't care, you can as well sink your wii in the oil and say it's cool coz it's workin... start a thread with a question about t and let's just see who's right after all...

Honestly cows, Cioscorp is more of headache than anything. If everything else is working you should quit while you're ahead. If you want to have your launcher in the first square of the system menu get preloader 0.29 and turn on the "move disc channel" hack. Alternatively you could use preloader 0.29 to set your favorite loader to boot at startup and avoid the system menu altogether. Preloader is something everyone should have. Its a great tool to use in case you need to recover your system.
