Is it possible to put a partition on a ext hdd after it has been changed to wbfs....I have a 500gig portable wd elements and made the whole thing wbfs ...now I am thinking I should have split it up and put a partition on it.....Can it be done after the fact without losing the stuff I have already backed up on it???
no you will need to back up your games onto another drive then format and partition your drive as you like then format whichever partition is for WBFS and put your games back onto it

Is this done using wbfs manager, or wbfs intelligent??? or is there a better way...what is most prefered??
It would not be a big deal I guess to just reformat it and start over using windows, its just the loss of time I spent loading my 20 or so originals onto it, I keep backups of the ones I downloaded that I didnt already have, and only have about another 5 that I didnt already have originals of that are working...
I am still trying to figure out my black screen issues with certain ones like mario strykers, DK jungle beat (crashes after selecting player and attempting to "play" the game), boy and his blob -blackscreens after the intro menu, Kawasaki quad, alvin and chipmunks, and marvel ultimate 2 all just black screen for me......I have been trying to read thru all the tons of pages on trying to get those ones to work..I have tried different dol files but it always tell me I am an idiot....lol...
Thinking maybe I should just reformat, put in a partition, and reinstall all my originals....I have an original of NSMB but it wouldnt play either just doing a straight install onto the loader...I also did the loader version update, but not sure wether that effects things...Lots o' reading to do.
Thanks for the help
What loader update If its USB loaderGX I had problems with this when I updated so I found an old version and installed that and everything was great jungle beat worked fine for me and kawasaki quad
If you have originals and backups only transfer the games you don't have to disc for that way you might only need a small WBFS partition to hold them 5 games until you partition your HDD then use WBFS manager to put the games back on to your HDD and use the usb loader to install the the discs back on to the HDD ,it might be quicker bcos drive to drive with WBFS manager can be slow because it turns every game into iso size before scrubbing back on to the other drive and when its a small game under 1Gb it could be faster just using a loader to install it
hope this helps
