    Talking WSR on cIOS38 Rev9

I have Wii Sports Resort running on rev9 and USBLoaderGX. Thanks to thelight1974 for a great post on running WSR from Disc using neogamma R6. I don't use discs myself, I run all my games from HDD with usbloaderGX.
The only thing I had to do was run an alternate dol, for those who have not done this, put RZTP01.dol in the root of the SD card. Select alternate dol in the settings of the GX, run the game, watch the video, then go back to settings change back from alternate dol. Game works a treat.
You need the Motion + gizmo. It costs 16 in the UK.

How do I extract the alternate .DOL? I have a Mac, and none of the scrubbing tools seem to be Mac compatible (and even if they were, I wouldn't have a clue ). Cheers!

Just Google it. It's out there waiting for you.

As incredible as it may seem - I did google it first ! and it shows up page after page with links to pages after pages of forum threads just like this one.

Turns out the dol file is the player on the disc - you simply extract it from the ISO and re-name it. As instructed in the first post.

Well I think in future you should try and use Google a bit more intelligently. For instance, when I wanted the rztp.dol I just typed in google "megaupload rztp.dol". And then I just copy and pasted a link and got the file.

It's much better to help yourself.

And the first post in this thread said nothing about extracting the dol yourself. Why waste time doing that when the someone has already done it for you?

Did it ever occur to you that I might not know of MegaUpload ?

What happened to 'It's much better to help yourself.'

Best to think before you type huh ?

Dude, I aint gonna argue with you so forget about trolling.
The point I was trying to make was it's not that hard to find things for yourself if you learn to search properly.
You can't have looked very hard.

It is better to help yourself. Note that I havent posted begging for someone to direct link me to the file. I got off my ass and searched for it.
Of course i'm gonna get the file if it's already available rather than waste time ripping it myself. I'm still helping myself by not bothering people with lazy questions.

Using a search engine is a lot easier than hacking a Wii so i'm sure you can do it if you try.

If it were that easy I would have found it - like I did on another site, I posted the solution on this one - for the benefit of everyone.

To get Sports Resort working do the following:

Use Wiiscubber to extract player.dol - Wii Scrubber

    -> partition1 -> sys -> mpls_movie -> player.dol

Rename it RZTP01.dol, put this file in the root folder of the SD card (this is the default for usbloader gx). Before you launch the game change the dol location to alt in the game's settings and then watch the movie. When the Wii resets itself after the movie go back into the game's setting and change the dol location back to the default.

    It then works fine...

4.0e, cIOS rev13a, USBloader GX (you have to use USBloader GX for this) 002 fix on

If using cnfg Usb-loader rename the file RZTP.dol (its the name of the disc) and put in in the usb-loader dir on your SD - click on the game - open options and select this file as alt dol file. once you have watched the movie remove the alt dol entry. Make sure you have 002 fix on.

Works with 249_v10 - no need for v13

Now anyone searching for it will find it - you dont need the file - you already have it !!

If I can do it - you can.
