Neogamma 5 wad install - can hardmod help

    Hi all,

I have a softmodded wii v4.0u with serial starting LEH14.

I installed the Neogamma 5 wad and now have a black screen immediately after the health screen. I don't have pre-loader, bootmii or anything that useful installed. My question is is there any hardmod that would allow to uninstall that wad?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as i've now banner bricked my kids wii...

this isn't helpful. But where'd you grab the wad you installed? Specifically. Just curious.

There's a banner brick tutorial on here.
    Unbrick your Bannerbrick Tutorial

My understanding is that if you are running an older system menu such as 3.2 or 3.3 you should be able to load the system menu from a new game with 3.4 or above on it. I'm not sure of this though, you can do some research I'm sure.

If you have a later system menu like 3.4 or 4.0 then you need the mod chip to boot the copied recovery disc. If you do buy a chip and nothing works then you can at least put it in the new Wii that you'll end up buying.

If you do recover then first thing to do is get bootmii sorted.

Does the modchip allow to boot direct from DVD bypassing the nand and if so which modchip? If i can do that then i can run wad manager and uninstall the wad if not then i don't want to spend more money on a chip

No it allows booting of a rescue disc which will allow you to recover your system menu and your Wii.
