    USB Loader Crashes

I've looked everywhere and haven't been able to find my problem anywhere else, so hopefully it hasn't been covered on another part of these forums.

I've hacked my wii and have USB Loader GX on an SD card to use with the Homebrew Channel. For some reason, whenever I start the USB Loader with my USB or HDD plugged in it crashes, and if I start it up without the USB or HDD plugged in, it won't recognise either one of them when I plug them in. I've tried both USB ports (yes, i know that you're meant to use the port closest to the edge) and nothing works. I've tried countless of cIOS installations and right now I'm running 249 rev13. I've even tried using Configurable USB Loader but I still get the exact same problem.

I have a D2Pro9 modchip installed, would it have something to do with that maybe?

    Any help would be appreciated.

*Edit: After a bit of playing around with it I found out that the USB loaders crash if the USB / HDD is plugged in when the wii is first turned on. They still aren't recognised if I plug them in after I start the Hombrew Channel though. Iv'e also installed Hermes cIOS222 v4 and when the USB Loader doesn't recognise the USB, it asks me if I want to try again for 30 seconds with either cIOS222 or 249. 249 won't recognise them and going through 222 gives me a stack dump error. Again, help appreciated.
