Hard drive problems with USB loader

Ok here's the thing, My hard drive is 2.5" 320 GB LACIE Extarnal drive and sometimes is seen by USB Loader and will load and other times it's not seen by the USB LOADER, has anyone else been having this problem where it will work sometimes but not others and have they figured out a fix?

also what's the cheapest 320 external that's know to work without having any issues with usb loader.

    thanks

    my hard drice ID'S = 059F Ver 0001

According to the compatibility list on GBATemp this issue is known with this drive, although it has only been confirmed once.

As for recommendations I went with the WD 320GB My Passport Essential which now has 13 confirmation of 'working'. Might not be the cheapest but it looks nice.

I guess a 3.5" external disk might be cheaper than a 2.5" but at 320GB capacity most people go 2.5".

I chose reliability and compatibility over cost.

I am using a Fantom HD(750 GB) that I picked up off of Newegg for 70 bucks and it works great.
