USB Loader GX v1.0 crashing when adding game to USB drive

    Hi all

I've bought a Wii recently so am new to all this, but I've done this sort of thing before with other systems, so aren't a total noob!

I'm on version 3.1E and have installed HackMii, which installed the HBC v1.03, DVDx (I haven't used that tho, but thought I'd install it anyway!) and BootMii as boot2.

I then installed everything as per the guide on this site (using cIOS v13 as suggested and choosing all the default options):
How to Store/Load Wii Games via USB Hard Drive [Slick Tricks]

Everything installed without any issues, I accepted the default options when installing CIOS.

My issue is that when I load USB Loader GX and click the "+" icon to backup a game to the USB drive, it causes an exception (DSI) to occur and gives a screen and code dump. Rather than writing it all out, I took a picture of the screen:

Has anyone had this issue before or know how to fix it?

I've got a game on my USB drive already and can play this OK when I click on it in USB Loader GX. I can unlock the interface OK as well. This problem only happens when I click the "+" icon to add a game or when I click the icons to exit from USB Loader GX.

In the meantime I loaded up a different USB Loader v1.1 and this allows me to backup a game to the hard drive but it won't let me actually play the game, I get an error code -2 when I try to start the game. However, after uploading the game to the USB drive, if I start up USB Loader GX, I can play the game from here without any issues!

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What version of Cios you running you should try Wanikios 249 ver 13b or 222.
Also try if USB loader 1.1 picks up drive try Usb Loader 1.5 it's not a new but (and i may be mistaken) it should have the 002 error fix.

    Hi.

It's OK, I've fixed the problem now, I tried USB Loader 1.5 and this works fine

Not sure what version of Cios I installed, all I know kis that the was named CIOS38_rev13, if that helps?

One more question though, after copying the ISO image onto the USB hard drive using USB Loader, can I use WBFS Manager v3.0 to transfer this image to my PC's hard drive to keep a backup of it, in case the hard drive dies for whatever reason and to save me from burning all my games again??

Well you've got the uptodate CIOS so the error with GX could be hardwaer compatability or you can try installing CIOS222.But if it's working with 1.5 then why upset the applecart.

Yes WBFS Manager will let you export the games from your WBFS drive to a ISO image on your PC.

    Hi

How would the internet connection being down affect this, as I wasn't downloading covers, I was only trying to upload a game?
