    What is GeeXboX?

I've read about it, heard about it, but can't make any sense of what the app actually does. Can anyone dumb it down for me, and tell me how it's useful and cool things you can do with it?

extensively running the dvd-rom would result heat problem inside Wii......
and thermal problem would end up dvd-rom damage.

why not play dvds with a cheap dvd-player?
