    WBFS 3 and channel creation

    Hello everyone,

I've read that in WBFS 3, you can create channel. That's great but I don't seems to understand how it works. It says I need to supply a common key file .bin (wth is that?) and a base channel wad file (base, can I take like wad manager .wad file or it's a specific wad).

    Thanks!

I have same issue, I was hoping that I could load wiiware/vconsole stuff directly to hd, that would be neat so usbloader or wiiflow would see it.

I thought that channel creation would be nice until I read the part about BANNER BRICK, so I thought I would leave it alone.

hmmm.. I'm reading on the wbfs manager webpage and I see nothing about that. The only thing I can find about channel creation is the info on the download page, saying I need a wad and common-key.bin, which I don't know what this is and where to get it

Right, done a bit of researching and I've found that WAD Packer is what you need but it uses the trucha exploit.

    So...

If you've updated ur wii past the point where the trucha doesn't work you've stuffed it. I'm not sure this is worth the hassle...

I don't have that problem, I'm on 3.2. Problem is that common key, I've finaly found out what it is, but didn't find how to get it since it's not legal

Here is where I read about channel creation and banner brick, wbfsmanager.blogspot. Just scroll down to where the topic of channel creation.

It states "only create system menu channels if you know what you are doing"
