    Question SD/USB Loader v 1.5 - Error! (ret = -1) SDHC only

I have 3.2U installed as my base and have successfully applied SD/USB Loader v1.5 to the console. When I insert a small SD card (1GB) it mounts it successfully, however, I have a 16GB Kingston SDHC Card that has been formatted with the WBFS Manager via Windows, and I receive an error..

    Select WBFS device:
    < SD/SDHC Card >

    ....

    Mounting device, please wait...
    (30 seconds timeout)

    ERROR! (ret = -1)

    Press any button to restart..
I've previously installed the IOS36-64-v1042.wad successfully as well.

I've not tested with a USB drive as I do not have one available.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I seem to remember having the same trouble doing a second wii for a friend. I had forgotten to install cios36 rev10. If you have already done so then I am clueless, otherwise give it a go. It gave me issues with both usb hdd and sdhc before the install.

I had an SD card and booted the MBC. I had an apps folder with "cios36 rev 10 installer" subfolder. In that, there was a boot.dol file. I selected cios36 rev 10 installer from the HBC and installed it via "Network Installer". It said it installed successfully.

However, in the USB Loader 1.5, I get the same error.

If I retry the cios36 rev 10 installer, does the USB Loader need to be re-installed afterwards?

get a wad file and reinstall.
or, re-download the cios36_installer for good.
reinstall won't kill USB_loader, but ur time !

I've re-installed the cios36 and then the USB loader afterwards, and the same problem remains.

    Just a quick update.

I picked up an external storage cage and put a 500GB HDD in it. Loaded a few game isos on to it, and it works fine.

No idea why the SDHC doesn't, but no matter now!

    Thanks for the suggestions.
