Anyone want to try and get the Wii Weather channel working again using homebrew??

There are tons of things to do with your modded Wii, and great minds out there making it do tricks. I was just wondering....

Now that Nintendo has shut down the Weather Channel, News Channel, etc. Is anyone out there thinking about getting them going again? Hell, I just wanna get the weather channel back so I can play with the globe!

My 3 year old son loved going around the globe zooming in and out...

    Anyone?

Being that Nintendo has shut down the servers for that (and a few other) app, there is no way to use it anymore. Whether or not anyone's attempting to get working with Homebrew I couldn't say, but I doubt it.

If I spelled something wrong, I'll just blame it on auto-correct

Well, there MUST be some way for it to work.. The other day - with wifi connected, the weather channel started telling me it was sunny in St. Petersburg - and the date was saying 9/15 or 10/15, I don't remember which. I had been moving some channels from the Wii to the SD. Other than that, nothing unusual was happening. Maybe this little 'glitch' can be exploited if happens to someone in the know..
I went around the world, spun the globe, etc. and all was good - didn't really care if the numbers were correct or not..
