    HBC Apps Sources

Where is everyone getting their apps from? I'd rather not trust some random mediafire link from a google search.

Like what? Homebrew Browser is good (aside from what we link in our guides) source. But your post is so open-ended that it defies the subject matter.

Depends on what you are looking for. The Homebrew Browser is an app for the Wii that downloads apps directly to your SD card. We have a guide for that if you search for it. Another good place to find apps is Wiibrew.org. They have quite an extensive list. And there are also a ton of apps here on this site.

So I guess it comes down to this: What are you looking for?

Edit: nightstah beat me again lol

Not sure, really. I just softmodded my wii and am not sure of all the things I can do. I have no intention of running emu's, but I've seen some interesting apps on various youtube videos but wasn't sure what some of them did. I would like to be able to backup my personal collection and run them off my usb hdd to save my disc drive and laser. I had other questions and stuff that I had posted in another forum but for some reason a mod moved the thread to introductions which doesn't make any sense as I have introduced myself on here when I first made my account and had previous posts but my account has just been dormant. So I'm not sure if I should just wait for some sort of response on that other thread or ask in here since I've gotten some attention in here.

What you mention in terms of intent is covered in the "Softmod ANY Wii" guide and is made for this purpose. The title of your thread compared to actual specifics in post #4 are entirely two different things.

Well I mean anything that isn't covered in first timer guides or something. I'm not speaking of anything illegal but I thought there would've been some sort of compiled list or archive. That's all. From the guides I've seen they've only mentioned how to softmod with game exploits or bannerbomb or letterbomb and to install HBC and bootmii. I haven't seen anything go in any steps further than that unless I've just been looking in the wrong places.

Well, had you bothered to even look at the "first timer guide" that nightstah linked you to, you would have seen that it includes everything needed in order to play backups, and also includes the Homebrew Browser, of which lets you download a massive amount of homebrew software for free and gives descriptions as to what each piece of software does....

After all these years, it still never ceases to amaze me how some people are given a direct answer to a question, yet before even making the slightest attempt to even look or understand the answer given, they just debunk it and say "That aint it"....

    BTW, answers given. Thread Closed.
