Us Wii Speak problem with USB Loader GX

Hello and thank you in advance anyone that helps or tries to help solve my little conundrum.

I recently purchased Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as my first first person shooter game. I had just recently began using an external hard drive to store my games; lag is completely eliminated when playing online while using the HDD. I bought a Wii Speak a few days ago... I plugged it in and I cannot get it to work when loading games using the HDD through USB Loader GX. I was able to get it working using the disc, but I hate the amount of lag that I experience when playing online. I have read a few areas that there may be a fix for this, but it's not exactly in what I call English! I don't really understand what the website are suggesting to do, so I wanted to get a little better description from someone who understands exactly my unique problem.

    Thank you for your help!

Im assuming you are referring to Modern Warfare Reflex, correct? You need to install an updated version of cIOS249. Check out the d2x installation guide that is below in my sig.

Hello! Thank you for your help! I am actually using it for Modern Warfare 3. If I can get it to work, I will also use it for Wheel of Fortune on Wii. Once I update the cIOS249, do I need to change any settings within USB Loader GX or will simply installing the updated cIOS249 fix the problem. I'll be home later tonight and I will try to update and let you know if it fixes the problem in hopes to help anyone else with this problem. Thank you very much cjizzle!

Well, MW3 uses cIOS 250, so I dont think that is the issue... I didnt think MW3 could use the wii speak, only Reflex.......that was my understanding anyways. Could be wrong though...

EDIT: I just confirmed thru a few gaming mags that MW3 does NOT support Wii Speak

Ah! I didn't even consider that possibility. When I am playing, other players have mics and so I assumed it was a possibility. I also am not aware of anything other than the Wii Speak that will work with the Wii, but I will continue researching and I would appreciate any information you could pass along. Thank you for the help cjizzle.

EDIT: OH! what should I do to get Wheel of Fortune to work? I would have some upset friends if I didn't ask! Thanks

Google headbanger headset. Its a simple usb mic and earpiece specifically for the Wii. Thats what people are using.

As far as wheel of fortune, I dont have it, but I stand by my original comment about needing to update cIOS 249 to base 56 d2x v8 or higher...

Wheel of Fortune is working after installing cIOS 249 to an updated version. I am trying to buy myself the microphone you mentioned that will work with COD:MW3. I also have Black Ops and it appears that it also works with it from what I've read online! Let me know if there is anything else you think I should install for the security or improved functionality of my Wii. Thank you!!
