help with wiiware

Some wiiware games that I've tried work and others load as a black screen with no sound, the remote disconnects as well I believe.
From what I can tell reading the forums, this is because of outdated ios, I've run pimpmywii and it tells me everything is up to date. I also used freethewads and made them all region free, should I try ntsc instead?

I've also tried messing around with the settings, forcing ntsc etc. Not really sure what settings to change. I've also read about triiforce, but I think all that does is run wads from my hard drive?

I'd prefer to get the wads working because I like having separate channels for each game. However if I can't get this to work I suppose I could try roms :(

Do the ones that u got from the shop channel work?

It took like 2-3 mins to load but it seems to work. I never use the shop channel..except like 2 years ago

i've tried lots of sources. I just tried wii shop channel on my emu nand, that one just told me I need to update. Does that make a difference? I'm not sure how to update the emu nand as opposed to the regular nand..

The only legitimate source that I'm aware of is the Shop Channel. PimpMyWii isn't exactly recommended (and in fact, is not recommended at all).
