    WBFS manager error?

I use WBFS manager to load wii games onto my USB to play them on my wii, and ever since I've been using it (since january I believe) it's always worked perfectly fine. then just today, I try to load my USB on WBFS manager, and it said

"error occured while loading drive. make sure the drive is in use or open and that it has been formatted to WBFS format."

to make sure my USB was still working formatted properly, I loaded it onto my wii, and it still had the games I previously had loaded on my USB, working perfectly fine. I even reformatted it to the natural format to use on my computer, and that worked as well... but it acts as if it doesn't work whenever I try to load it on WBFS manager.

I also made sure I was using the correct drive to load my USB. still nothing

is there any other program I could use to load wii games to my USB? I'm only used to using WBFS manager.

    Try following this guide:

    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ide-fat32.html

It will allow you to use your USB while it is still FAT32 (IMO the best option available).

And I would recommend using Wii Backup Manager for managing your games.

    Enjoy!

I did all of that. it works as far as getting it properly onto my USB, but fails when I try to load it to my wii. I use WiiFlow to load my wii games right? or am I supposed to use something else?

Hi, I tried doing this but it's still not being able to read my HDD. I've also tried using WBFS manager and I'm getting errors and it's not letting me format to WBFS either. I have also tried the NTFS format as well and still am not able to get my games playing off my USB. If you guys could help me I'd really appreciate it.

Sorry for the extremely late reply - I never saw this for some reason :S

What kind of error are you getting? Please explain everything that you did and where a problem occurred. Wiiflow is one popular USB loader, you can try installing another one (CFG loader or USB loader GX) to see if your games work, but until I know more about your problem I can't really give any more advice (sorry!).

Firstly, dont use WBFS manager. It's a waste of effort and you will probably have problems in the future. The FAT32 format is very popular, make sure that you did everything in the guide.

What USB loader are you using? And is your HDD on the compatibility list? The list is on this site somewhere, I'll try to post a link up in a while.

And in future, please post any questions relating to a guide in the actual guide.

EDIT: Here's the link to the guide:

I see that you already posted the exact same thing in the guide - Multi-posting is not a good thing to be doing here. Don't reply to this, stick to the guide, where you have already got a reply.

This might help to get you going with Config USB Loader

How to Manually upgrade / fresh install your Configurable USB Loader without losing anything

as well, you might want to make sure your loader launching to a base 56 ios, like 249[56], rev 21008 . If you are launching using the wrong base (like base58) sometimes (like on Config USB Loader) it won't see the harddrive at all.

I use Wii Backup Manager, with the fat32format.exe program to format the usb drive. Config USB Loader v70v15 seems to work very well.
