USB loader gx dual layer cant open disc?

Hi I followed the modmii and done everything and all works great also installed primodeer so kids cant update wii from discs or net.

I then put on usb loader gx and all my games are working great but when i try to copy over my original dual layer copy of super smash bros brawl but it just says cant open disc so wont start the copy.
Like i say all my others all copied fine and covers downloaded and games work fine.

Is it because i need to change some settings or is there something on the original copy that wont let it be copied over?

    Any help appreciated

SSBB has always been one of those problem games when it comes to ripping because it is a dual layer disc. Try using an app like CleanRip. You might have more success using that.

Ok i have still had no luck anybody got any other suggestions?

The original still plays fine through wii channel so its not that big a problem but would have been great to put on hdd with the rest as would have helped with laser damage in future and also long loading times

I have seen posts with peolple saying they have managed to rip ssbb off using loaders but nothing specific or helpfull that i have found through searches

When I ripped my ssbb I was using gx with 249 rev 17 and it worked fine. I am not saying to do that, just pointing out that I don't think it has to be Hermes cios although it's not going to hurt to try it.

I just remember seeing that somewhere.

Maybe it has to be a cIOS with a base of 38.

I tried to install with 249 rev21 u think thats the problem.
I am not to sure on all this stuff having been using a harmodded console for so long.
I just followed the latest modwii and all went well.
Dont want to screw about with what i dont know but i would like to get ssbb on hdd.
In multi mod manager menu>load another ios that is on 249 should i change that to 222 and try to rip again is that what u mean or am i way off track?
    Sorry dont really understand
    Thanks

That is what player is saying. I guess you used modmii?? I.am not sure what cios are where when you do that, but if you try what he said then it will prove or disprove out theory. Either way it will not hurt anything.

Sent with WiiHacks app, that should explain any typos 8-p

tried 222 same error cant open disc
I tried that clean rip and it extracted to 3 files which i built an iso from after taking from drive using imgburn
I then used wiibackup manager to convert iso to wbfs and put on drive and it was recognised as ssbb and i downloaded covers ok.
When i ran it it went to loading screen then wii froze with a white screen so just deleted it
I cant think of anything else to try now
