GX LOADER Works 1st time but on return through the wii menu hangs the second!!!!

    Hi,

really weird problem....have softmodded a wii from 3.3 to 4.2 completed all the bootmi priloader steps and homebrew channel....have also added the latest 2.3 gx loader and appropriate forwarder channel.

right.....i turn on my wii....go to the forwarder channel ....pick a game on the gx loader and it runs.....every time....

exit the game.....go back to gx loader and pick another game....and it will hang.....every time....!!!....

newver seen this on any other wii...but this is the only one i know has gone from 3.3 to 4.2....the others have been 3.4-4.0 to 4.2

why does the gx loader refuse to work when you return to it...yet works flawlessly the first time.....

any help would really be appreciated...and thanks for reading this...

The first thing i'd like to ask you is about what your problem is exactly.

Do you want to be able to play games again? You should just turn off your wii and turn it on again.

Do you want to know why this problem is happening to you?

Do you want a permanent fix?

EDIT: And this has nothing to do with "wii custom software hacks"

sorry if this is the wrong forum....

a permanent fix would be good....its just that i have never seen this occur with gx loader 2.3 before...and i have seen it operated on 4 other wiis....

....it seems a strange occurrence that the gx loader cannot be "gone back to" after exiting a game without the hang....have used exactly the same software to mod a previous wii and the issue does not occur....the only difference being i started with a 3.3 wii....maybe an earlier gx loader (prior 2.3) is the answer...and yes exiting the game and turning the wii off/on does solve it. which forum would be best suited to this enquiry?
    thanks

"general homebrew" and "wiihacks newbie discussion" are good places to post this issue.

I understand your concern, most people do not have this problem. However, I have seen some people on this forum who have had that problem - try searching this forum for some threads that may be of some use.
