    WBFS covers

    Hello,

    I have just started to use the above HDD manager and I like the way it downloads the covers so I can easily put them on the SD card.

    Does anyone know if it can be instructed to d/l the 3D covers as opposed to the 2D ones and also d/l the disc art?

    Its not a biggie as I can manually get them from the excellent WiiTDB - Nintendo Wii games database | Home covers site - but this would be a nice touch.

    If it cant be done then I may put to forward as a suggestion for future releases

    Not sure if WBFS will do that, but I haven't been able to get a cover from WBFS in at least a week. For some reason it downloads a png file, but it's a blank zero byte file. It was nice to not have to go to another app or site to search dl and copy the files, but I don't think that WBFS cover downloading works at all.

    I checked out that site you posted, but can't find the covers that work with WBFS where do you get the png files from?

    You do know that you can download your covers straight to your hdd through USB Loader GX 3d, 2d and disc images yeah?

    I gather you are just grabbing the images through wbfs manager and loading them up from there.

    I setup WBFS to download the covers to my SD card directly. I also I setup my torrent to automatically open a finished download with WBFS after it's done downloading. Basically I come home and have a bunch of games already loaded in WBFS with covers and all I would have to do is hit copy to drive and i'm done. To make matters worse I just searched for 10 covers i'm missing and downloaded over 4,000 covers from 4 sites and I still can't find the ones I need.. I guess there are just too new?

    I'm having the same issue with WBFS as "|||" is having, no covers have been downloading with WBFS - just 0byte .png files in their place. Perhaps the site that the program downloads the covers from is down?

    I've been able to find the missing covers by googling them or going to wiitdb.com

    allrighty !!!

    nobody replied for you,
    so here is the update for this fix

    FIRST:
    find your install directory of WBFS manager
    like:
    Code:
    Program Files/WBFS/WBFS Manager 3.0/
    NOW open file
    Code:
    WBFSManager.exe.config
    with your text editor

    in this file make the change like i did in the PAL and NTSC URL

    Code:
                <setting name="CoverLinkNTSC" serializeAs="String">
                    <value>http://www.wiiboxart.com/artwork/cover/</value>
                </setting>
                <setting name="CoverLinkNTSCJ" serializeAs="String">
                    <value>http://www.theotherzone.com/wii/ntscj/download.php?file=</value>
                </setting>
                <setting name="CoverLinkPAL" serializeAs="String">
                    <value>http://www.wiiboxart.com/artwork/cover/</value>
                </setting>

    and save this file and it will work like before again

    You have to restart WBFS just to be sure it reads the updated config file.

    Why it didn't work? wiitdb.com lost their old domains,
    OOPS... you have to pay sometimes for service
    and this program hasn't been updated forever.

    Anyhow i hope it will make you HaPpY again !

    Oh yeah please say thanks for this fix if you have balls hahaha (Just kidding)

    Thanks for pointing me to the config file. The particular URL you posted didn't work for me but I was able to put the wiitdb url in there and it worked.

    Hello!

    Could you explain in details where and what to put in the config file, please.

    Regards!

    Follow catch2222's info to find the .config file, open it in a text editor and place this info in there
    Code:
                <setting name="CoverLinkNTSC" serializeAs="String">
                    <value>http://wiitdb.com/wiitdb/artwork/cover/US/</value>
                </setting>
                <setting name="CoverLinkNTSCJ" serializeAs="String">
                    <value>http://wiitdb.com/wiitdb/artwork/cover/JA/</value>
                </setting>
                <setting name="CoverLinkPAL" serializeAs="String">
                    <value>http://wiitdb.com/wiitdb/artwork/cover/EN/</value>
                </setting>
    You should be able to find the spot that needs replaced.
