Wasabi DX Online Games and Features

Hi, it’s my first post here, so I do apologize if I have posted in the wrong place.
(I did do a search before making this post)

I am ordering a Wasabi DX and cannot find out if you can still use the online features of the Wii and games.

1) Can you still use the internet channel and everybody votes etc,

2) Can you use online features in games like leader boards and multiplayer?
Thanks in anticipation.

1) Yes. Although updating the system may stop you from playing out of region games.

2) Yes. You can play online fine and will not get banned unless you cheat.
