Can i use harddrive to play back up iso files of my games instead of disc

Is it possible to play the back up copies of my games from a hard drive instead of having to put them onto disc??
The games i buy dont seem to last long as my daughter damages them in no time at all so i have backed them up also onto a hard drive . Seeing as i have them on a hard drive i was wondering if i could run them from here instead of putting thm back onto disc as it would be far easier..
At present they do show up in the menu but it only gives me the option to either copy to card or delete..
