Hey, I havent owned a wii in a little over a year, and back then i Used drivekey. It did give me different issues with certain region games and alot of GC backups would give sound but no picture. Anyway, my main concern is will this work with the 4.3U firmware, and is it easy to install? Would you recommend this above drivekey? Thanks for any advice.
Track down the Wii's serial No. (sticker on the console's back) and just find it out!
If you got a DVD drive with one of the newer D3-v2 or D4 chips you won't be able to play any burned dvd (game or movie), only retail Wii and GC games will run on your console (all red/black and recently bought Wiis will have one of those chips).
You got one? Go for a softmodding USB loading route.

would go for usb loading anyways, buy a nice drive, format to fat32 and use for wii games and apps and media to watch on your wii/tv.
