How to: Patch nsmb to work with wasabi chips

    UPDATE:
The Wasabi team released a BCA PATCH TOOL HERE. THIS WILL ONLY PATCH NSMB, NOT ANY FUTURE GAMES. For this you still need to work on my method below.

Not Needed anymore. wasabi has released a patcher tool.

The Wasabi team released a tool to patch the nsmbw iso. Just drag and drop the iso onto the exe.
Patch Tool (the one under PC Tools)

    Hi,
does the Wasabi patch tool take care of both step 1 and 2 (BCA editor + manual hex patch) ?
Asked differently: do I have to perform any other operation when using the Wasabi tool ?

    Thanks!

The wasabi tool should be the only thing you need to do when patching nsmb. it preforms step two of my method. Step one is required if you want the game to work on other modchips.

This tool from wasabi only works on mario. No future games are supported with this tool.

ok, so seriously you say i should download something (which is for windows only) to replace 1 bit in the iso? i mean can someone confirm that the wasabi bcafix.exe only replaces one byte at 0x0133 to x01 and does nothing else?

edit: i can confirm, does nothing else, pointless.

this bca patch above DOES work on wii v4.2e + wasabi dx v3.0b + unscrubbed wiisos image.

looks like scrubbed images wont work?
