    Wasabi DX Problem :(

    Hello all..
I jus purchased the Wasabi DX from ConsoleSource.com, and i installed as per the instructions.
Also i enabled all the settings such as Update Blocker, playing discs from other regions.

I also burned 2 isos, one for Grand Slam Tennis, and one for Virtua Tennis. But neither of them work! All is says is disc error.
I am not sure of whether the isos were corrupted or is it jus that i m doing something wrong!
Ive burned 2 copies of each games on different speeds (2x and 4x) using Imation DVD+R discs but it gave me the same problem.

I also read somewhere about updating the wasabi with a disc, so i burned v1.2 and placed the disc in the Wii and same error comes up and tells me to remove disc and turn off the console.

I could play the original game of Wii Sports, so certainly the installation is right Im guessing.

Please help me to what I am doing wrong, or what the problem can be I really wana be able to play some games.
For now I dont have any other games to check if these ISO's had problems, (Im stuck on the downloads for 3-4 games at 70%)

Newyz, hopefuly its not a big issue and it could be solved. If you need more information to know what the problem is, jus feel free to msg me It'l really be appereciated
Thanks a lot in advance guys!

If you use blackberry messenger, you could add me - my PIN is 31F47669
    Thanks again
hoping i can fix dis soon!

Try Verbatim DVD-R's they seem to work great for me, and try to use the lowest speed (1x/2x). Everything has worked great on mine with the exceptions of Smash and New Super Mario Brothers... but I'm still reading the other threads for NSMB.

I had the same issue when I was using Memorex DVD+Rs.

Thing is mate, you haven't tried what Mattius said - you have stuck with Memorex and burned faster.

Do originals work. If they do, then you know you have installed the chip correctly.

Also try burning an iso on another PC with a different type of drive.

I heard that 4x works great so I gave it a shot at 4x. Now il try it with 1x or 2x. And yes, the original game I have does work! so the chip is installed correctly

    memorex are crap, sorry

Like the others said use a quality media like verbatim and burn at a max of 2x, 1x is even better

the thing to remember about the wasabi dx is that it only reads the discs at 3x which doesn't read as well as 6x on some other chips. Impurities and imperfections in the disc even burning at higher speeds will cause you problems.

i also replied to your post on wiinewz about this. Your wii has a good chance of being a d3-2 which is not supported by any current modchips. You can either swap out dvd drives, granted its not a v2 of the d3-2 lol, or wait for a wode/sundriver.

when you open it up, check by seeing if theres writing on the big chip. no writing = d3-2

so what if its a d3-2 drive, i wouldnt be able to play burned games?
i bought the chip thinking it would work with any consoles. And you said wait for a wode/sundriver, what is that?
