This was almost a moth ago, any news??
When a emailed Wasabi support, their response...
After several tests we can confirm the rumor about the new firmware 4.2 from NINTENDO breaking imports. We strongly recommend everyone to not proceed with the upgrade 4.2 as it removes the ability to play any import at all due to a new check. This is the same for every other mod chip on the market. The R&D team are working on it and soon as more news coming out, the web site will be updated with all needed informations.

This was a couple of weeks ago. As of today, still no update on their website.

I've been emailing back and forth with them since the update came out almost 2 months ago and I still get the same bullshit corporate response. I've had my Wasabi Zero for 5 months and near as I can tell it's worthless now. Wasabi deserves whatever bad rep they get for ignoring their customers' needs. I like what I hear about the Wode so far but I can't help but think no matter what chip I go with it'll just be more of the same, I can say that it will not be a Wasabi chip though.
This went from being the best modchip to get to now not worth buying. Too bad. There are still tons of games out there that I can still run but the future with new games looks bleak.
From what you are saying there, you are more referring to Mario Bros not working than simply that of NTSC imports not working.Originally Posted by itgl72 [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register]
That's a different ball game, one in which most of the mod chip manufacturers are combating.
That's nothing to do with the 4.2 update though - no matter what version of firmware you have, SMB will not work with the hard mods.
