Has anyone else had any problems after applying the 4.2e update?

It was working ok but one game (wii fit plus) would hang at a black screen, so after doing some reading it was deemed safe to update the wii as it wouldn't effect the wasabi, well it has as it now won't boot anything other than originals.

I can still get into the built in menu and even upgrade the firmware from a disk but that's all...

you aint alone here mate, dont worry!

Mine does the same, but it will let me boot PAL games (which is my region) but NOT NTSC games. Try booting up a backup of a game in your wii's native region.. should work..

Wasabi's R+D team are currently looking into it for a fix.

Well what do you know, it works pal ones are fine, I never doubted you

Luckily I followed a splendid guide by someone not too far away and now running neogamma for my ntsc ones for now

hi, so would you recommend i update to 4.2? im on 4.1 at the moment with 2.0 on the wasabi. all my games are PAL and so is my console.

well ive been reading mixed opinions all over the place, thought id just verify, i not in any rush to update as it doesnt do anything.

I only updated to 4.2e as wii fit plus didn't work, there are quite a few posts about chips being safe to update so it's difficult to judge but you get there in the end

cheap chips will brick you and all of tehm will ruin region free
