Anyone with a solution till now? I have the same problem, but i am on NTSC and i find it hard to find much games on that region! So i am really looking for a solution with that problem! I am with 4.2u
well i only download my own region games so region free does not bother me, still not updating though until its 100% safe to do so.Originally Posted by messie [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register]

NTSF? where do you live? Hard drive land?
Sorry my mistake! Wrong letter! I am from Europe, Bulgaria, but i bought it from the USA and the wasabi dx too! Now i don't have anything to do! I see a lot of posts in the tutorials to hack from 4.2, but i don't understand them, are they working for our modchip too! For example [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register] ! Can i do this? It will be nice if someone helps me before i crash my new Wii ! Is this gonna help in someway! Thank you!

lol all the pages i find have only NTSC games... try some other trackers
So there is the solution for unlocking the region free from the update! As messie explained so politely, you have to make a full 4.2 hack to your console, explained in the link I posted above! Then you can use neogamma to play games, in the program's options you have to set the region free to yes and everything is going smoothly that way! That's the only way i found after so much struggling with the problem! There is a way to apply a startpatch, but i couldn't deal with it! If someone goes through that, may explain! That is all from me! Good luck guyes!
Well, I have a bunch of games my kids play with this Wii using the WasabiDX. As long as things work, Im not going to update anything. This all scares the hell out of me anyway. LOL...![]()
using neogamma/startpatch etc defeats the whole simplicity of a modchip. Some people dont understand (or dont want to bother with) all the homebrew etc and just want something that is plug and play so to say.
And as for not updating to 4.2 because you dont want your wasabi to go down, thats all good untill you run a new game the requires the update, which Im sure they all will soon! So you will be stuck with a wii that can only load old games (unless you go down the homebrew way..)
Yep, that's the problem i faced with wii fiit plus, it wouldnt work until i updated to 4.2 so now i use both the wasabi for pal games and neogamma for the few non pal ones until its fixed..Originally Posted by micflair [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register]
The only way I can see this working for me then is to wait and see if an update comes out for the Wasabi that can handle the newest update. If not, oh well, theres 1000 games out there I still have not played.
I went the mod chip route for ease of use. The whole software thing is doable, just too cumbersome for me to get into for the Wii.
