Us Wasabi DX Testimonial

my system: launch day wii with GC2-DMS chipset
3.2u firmware downgraded from 4.0u
HomeBrew channel installed

just want to let everybody know my experience with the wasabi dx. i only had it installed as a dx long enough to update the firmware and test my games quickly so i could compare it to the drivekey i have on an even playing field, i now have it installed in zero mode. this chip is hands down the absolute best chip out there. its rock solid, built with quality, has 2 cores so u can run it as a dx or a zero(essentially getting 2 chips in one, amazing), and when team cyclops says its their proven drivecode that makes the difference they are not lying. i have 23 games ranging from oldest to the newest and alot of the problematic games, i played every game i have flawlessly, originals, backups, ntsc, and pal. i also have a drivekey. i would just like to share one difference i noticed between the two chips. the new 4th gen chips read discs at 3x speed instead of 6x. well when i had the drivekey installed and was testing games i noticed that more graphic/loading intensive games, such as the ones that would have video stuttering, really made my disc drive noisy. the drive was considerably louder and u could hear it scanning back and forth in an effort to read the disc. it sounded so unhealthy for the drive that i would not recommend using it nor would have continued using it if i didnt have a wasabi also. whenever i had the wasabi dx installed in dx mode i tested my games again. yes the drive still made more noise than usual while reading and loading, but in comparison to the drivekey it was alot less. so for someone who needs one of these modchips because its the only solution for their wii i would recommend the dx for that reason alone and about a thousand other reasons. the other difference is drivekey would not play my perfect 1:1 backup of Animal Crossing:City Folk, which the wasabi has no problem doing. now that i have the wasabi dx installed as a zero, the drive is quiet as a mouse, has full 6x read speed and gamecube audio streaming, i couldnt ask for a better chip. installing it in dx mode was super easy, and installing it in zero mode was just as easy. an added bonus i got when ordering my wasabi dx from an authorized reseller was the fact that during the checkout process there was the option of adding the clip to your order for only $10. that was great because if one was to order the clip at a later time they cost $15-$20 and would have to pay shipping also. i am very satisfied with the seller i purchased it from, their prices were very competitive and the option of throwing in the clip saved me even more, the shipping was very reasonable also. its not one of the promoted resellers on wiihacks, but should be. and no its not modchip central, i despise that place. if anyone has any questions feel free to ask, i will answer them.

i feel their customer service is lacking, have read some unpleasing stuff, and the biggest thing was the false advertisement of the drivekey i purchased awhile ago.
