Hello,

I just installed a wasabi dx on my buddies wii and he ran SSBB on it and it no longer seems to play anything. Could anyone please help me out with the following questions:

Is his wii fried?

I read about the version 1.2 firmware. i downloaded and burnt a copy of it on two disks so far and i am not getting them to load/read it is giving me a cannot read disk error. any suggestions? i tried a sony dvd-r and a ridata dvd-r both burnt on the slowest speed and neither did anything. This drive does not read any games anymore, original or burnt.

What is the procedure to update firmware? Do i insert the DVD and pick it through the main menu?

Is there a way to know what version of the firmware is on the wasabi?

any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

take the wasabi dx out of the wii and connect the ribbon cable to the dvd drive and play a original game.
as the wii play`s original games than the wii is ok.
put back the wasabi dx in and try again.
update the wasabi dx with the 2.0 software
burn the games on verbatim dvd-r and no other media,verbatim is the best media for the wii.
burn with imgburn at 4x speed and it shoot work hopefuly
