    D2E D2C2 sticker mix up

I just bought 3 wasabi D2E compatible chips, thats what i paid for on the website and thats what it says on my receipt. But the chips have the D2C2 sticker on the back. Wasabi's website says there has been a mix-up on their part and they have sent out D2E chips out with the D2C2 sticker on. Is there any way of telling if I have the mis-labeled D2E chips or if I have been ripped off. And if I do have the older D2C2 chips, can they be upgraded to D2E, (i imagine not).

    Thanks guys.

you need to contact reseller....another way to tell is if they have teh BGA chip or the fq...just install it on a d2e board and you will know.

If you got them from us then it is the d2e compatible one, the sticker issue as stated on wasabi site is what happened there :-/ our shipper must have forgot to include the note explaining this.

Anyways if you ordered somewhere else and youre not sure, you can also download the beta update to update d2e support, so not a huge deal imho

Right cool. i didnīt know they were upgradeable to D2E. So they must be soldered the same as the D2C and D2C2, otherwise they would have updated the diagrams on Wasabi website, is this correct? And to update the D2C2 chip, do I just install the chip, then put a DVD-R in with the firmware update and thatīs it?

    D2c2 sticker

I bought a wasabi from Speeddemons Brisbane modchip Store ŧ wii modchip install > sh-D162c Xbox360 Firmware installation > D2C M3 R4 Psp repair > Brisbane Southside Northside Goldcoast Sydney Melbourne Perth Adelaide and was wondering the same thing with the sticker on the back. But she works like a treat in my D2e chipset. Looks like wasabi have updated the chip but have not updated the stickers. Looks like I will have to buy some more for my friends wii.
