Go to www.wii-clip.com. I soldered it the same as on the picture on the site. More or less all the pads are soldered to the clip. Then the #1 jumper is soldered for USA consoles. Then the F-point is soldered to a point on the wii drive circuit board. I tried it but it did not work. The drive would not spin. Decidin whether I want to solder the wasabi to the board or not or try somethin else.

hi i got the same problem, but dont think its as bad as yours i havent connect f point yet and i get the green light and it stop working and sometimes i get lucky and the drive starts up too with the green light. but then it doesnt read any of my discs which i know is not the disc fault because they were workin on another wii me and friend were workin on. my friends wii works now succesfuly with sony dvd-r at 2x burn rate, without having to solder anything. hes got the same chip as me the d2c and we are using the wasabi&v5wiiclip. both of us. not sure wats wrong with mine

I have the same problem. When I connect the "F" point then the light stays red and drive wont open. If the "F" point is not connected it will stay green, only read Non-copied games. I have had no luck with copied games. I bought my Wii in July so I am assuming that I have the newest chip. Serial is LU347...

Will be getting clip for wasabi 2 and I will solder it on..
I have D2C (Not D2C2), and do I still have to wire F from clip to the point on the board?

    Just wondering.

    Thanks.

not necessarily because my friends wii works without the f point and its the same as mine, d2c. i just soldered the f point and my drive turns on but i get a red light and the drive is making some funny noises.

dont really know why i go a wasabi 1 my friend bought 2 so i just used his second one. we got practically the same wii. our serials are a digits off. but not sure why his works and mine doesnt.
