    Questions on Wasabi 2 installation.

Got the wasabi 2 form GMODZ. Took a while to get here in US(5 business days), but Thanks, GMODZ!

I will be installing chip on the wii, but got some Qs to ask.

    1. I saw the installation diagram from wasabi official site (http://www.wasabi.net.cn/wasabi11.pdf), Can I use this to install the chip?

    2. On the diagram, it says Use 30AWG for connection, but thicker for GND and 3.3V. How thicker it should be? I saw some people uses 2 30AWG cables twisted and wired those points..

    3. Saw the alternate G point from(http://www.techsick.com/images/wasabi-install-lg.jpg), Has anyone tried? and still works???

Thanks in advacne for your help!!

np! sorry it took 5 days but sometimes delays at customs. for pwr and gnd u can use 20awg...some people twist the 30awg which is fine as well..

the diagram is fine on the wasabi website and so is the alternate G point.....goodluck!

have you gotten the wasabi 2 from GMODZ to work? any reason why you didn't get the wii clip for wasabi 2 instead of soldering? I'm considering getting this chip but read somewhere that it's not firmware upgradable. Not sure how true it is.. Encountered any disc read errors after installing?

Haven't got a time to install it yet.. >
Like soldering instead of using clip. It makes you feel much more secure. Not good at it, but not suck at it either.. Like being challenged..
I heard the chip is upgradeable via DVD if that's what you meant..
    Ask GMODZ, he knows better..

not firmware upgradeable? its been shown you can upgrade all the wasabi 2s to support d2e drives where as d2pro9 you cant and they releasing a new version of the chip..seems more like d2pro9 not upgradeable dont you think?
