    Wasabi v2, D2Pro9, Argon for D2C Wii?

I did some searching and it seems alot of people have been using the d2pro9. The new wasabi v2, however, looks like my best bet with no reported problems as far as I know (d2pro9s apparently have some clk and eject issues). Argon looks ok but I havn't seen much on it in comparison to the other two.

Can anyonewho has had experience with all three or at least with the d2pro9 and wasabi v2 weigh in on which I should purchase at this point in time?

    Thanks in advance.

not all d2pro9 v2 have problems , the ones that work , do so very well .... the wasabi v2 is a new chip it has not had any issues ,and at the end of the day the d2pro9 is running off the wasabi code. either will be fine and they are both installed to the same solder points .

Hmm, I didn't know that d2pro9v2 was runing Wasabi code. I wonder what the implications of that are going to be in the future. Also what is the Wasabi2 capable of doing that the d2pro9v2 can't?

aragon also copied the wasabi code , the wasabi 2 cant be updated via jtag but the aragon and d2pro9 has the option if it is ever needed.

Thanks for the advice. I just bought a wasabi v2. The fact that they were the pioneers for this particular type of chip leads me to believe they are very capable. Also, I havn't heard of one problem so far, and really DVD upgradeability is all I really foresee myself doing. As a final question, is there really any scenario where the jtag would have to be used, and how rare is it?

depending on what Nintendo do in the future , the jtag might be needed as it can re-write the firmware to the chip unlike the wasabi , but there is no indication it will be needed , the wasabi v2 is a decent chip so far, "fingers crossed " it doesn't turn out like the wasabi v1. you have made a good choice.
