    upset ? no, shouldn't be.

remind me: u got a wii, 4.0E, intended to play NTSC-Jap/Usa ISOs ?
    questions to u:
    -- did u updated to 4.oE via wifi ?
-- hv homebrew channel been installed on ur wii ?
    -- hv u GeckoOS_1.9 in SD card ? or channel ?
    -- which NTSC-J/U game(s) in mind, dvd-r ready to play ?

b4 next move, spend a few minutes to look into something like "install hbc at 4.0 with MarioKart ISO"....... wouldn't u?

Thanks. Yeah I got Wii 4.0E that was updated via WiFi. Games that are suposed to work are mostly anime fighting games (japanese...don't laugh ). But yeah. I haven't heard of this Mario thing. I'll look it up and tell you how it went. Oh and I don't have HBD nor do I have gecko (it needs hbc right?)

Well it is updated with the first update. I don't remember which one it was. Maybe I'll try that too...

@Wiiksu, I have the same problem which i have been trying to correct for a week now. I have a Wasabi Zero w/ updates..and a Wii 3.1u. When I place Xmen-Origins of wolverines, Monsters vs Aliens..I get a black screen. I disabled my regions too. I've tried multuple things as well regionfrii and Brickblock and get the same results. If you find out the solution let me know. If anyone else has suggestions let me know..~thanks kindly.

I think the answer maybe for me is to just update my firmware to 3.2 or high'r. I was just worried about updating to 4.0. But I guess w/ a mod'd wii it doesn't matter Right? Anyone? thanks

RegionFrii & brickblocker hv resisted u from playing X-man.
3.1u + modchip certainly not good for the game.

time 4u to start thinking and workng on:
    1. update to 3.2u, and/or install homebrew channel
    2. get used of GeckoOS, and/or LauncherGamma
    3. installation of cIOS and IOS
    4. no official wifi update to 4.0u, but a custom Firmware-updater-4.

Kawainahe...yes with just a modchip...it doesn't matter if you update atm
reason for black screen is that the wii needs a higher fw to run those games * (thats assuming you burnt it correctly and on good quality dvd-r )

if the game is from the same region as your wii...let it update..and the game should then play ok.

with the zero, it should be region free enabled,
    enable import update blocker

and the domestic update blocker should be disabled
