Wasabi Zero - Cannot Read Discs

Hello,

I recently installed a solderless wasabi zero (1.4b firmware) on my D2C Wii (4.1U firmware). The install went fine (dip switches set on, off, off, off for US), and I was able to play downloaded games just fine. However, burned games that worked once or twice now give me "Cannot read disc" errors when I try to start them. This has happened with 4 or 5 different games.

I tried changing the drive speed from 6X to 3X using the WasabiZero config CD and it doesn't help; neither does disabling the region-free support. I've been using TDK DVD-R's burning at 2X or 4X and Verbatim DVD+R DL's burning at 2.4X. Re-burning a disc seems to solve the problem temporarily, but it soon comes pack after playing the game a few times.

Any thoughts? Thanks!!

I get the same error with a wasabi v3 + wii clip ...nothing seems to fix it for long.

All too strange. The burned cd did work initially then not.

What would you suggest as a good brand of disc for the burn?
