Can I update from JAPAN games?

I just installed Wasabi Zero
Played with Mario Galaxy and Top Spin fine
Then I burnt a JPN game: Fragile: Sayonara Tsuki no Haikyo
In game channel, it asks me to update, is it ok to do that? will this brick my console?

thanks

No, I didn't
but is there a way that the Wasabi Zero can bypass the updating process?
Every time the disc in, it asks me to update.
