I have an older wii with a D2B board with legs cut. Over a year ago I had a wiikey put in to it by a modder (he used the dremel method to get to the legs). A few months later the wii just stopped working, so I opened it up and used a desoldering braid to remove the wiikey.
Now, I want to get back in business, but want to know if I can put a Wasabi Zero solderless in my wii (being that the legs are cut and the board was dremeled).

well, that doesn't answer op's question. "very easy to install on cut pin..."
don't think the clip will work for you, you can certainly try it, i doubt the pin will have good contact of the dremel'ed exposed.
soldering is the best way, you won't need to connect to the chip pins anymore.
The current wave of solder chips (5-6 wire) if not mistaken don't even use those connections anymore so YES I think a clip will work. Best bet is to ask someone like Modderman since he would know for sure.....

yep depending how the chip was dremeled as well, it may not fit on proper, or cause issues, but its worth a shot for sure, though 5 points to solder is a breeze and maybe a better option to consider.
Anyways why are you getting rid of the wiikey? Why not just update it ?

Use any of the new chips that you have to solder 5~6 wires. I just wired a cut pin D2B using a Wiikey2 only 5 solder points and did not have to wire to the cut pin chip. Super easy to do.
Got the wasabi zero in yesterday with an original wii-clip (not the wasabi clip) and installed it. It works great and was cake to install. If it falls off now, I'll just solder it in.
