Unhappy Wasabi Zero - solderless install - isolate with electrical tape???

Hi All,

I just got my Wasabi Zero. I was planning on installing solderless.
The instructions on Wasabi site say to isololate with electrical tape as it seems it did not ship with one of those cardboard clipovers.

What does this isolate mean?

Help?

I would try cutting a business card to fit on the clip (cut a hole in the card over the hole in the clip, just to be safe) and some tape underneath to stop it from making contact with the wii's PCB.

I appreciate the link, i saw this video before. I also understand the cardboard cover.
I was curious as to how they meant to Isolate with electrical tape?
If I were duplicate this the cardboard isolation with ekectrical tape, are they recommending coverin the modchip with electrical tape?
Cardboard is one thing... tape is a whole nother beast... hence my question.

Well you don't need it really.

The way they do in the movie is really all it is necessary for isolation.

You don't need any extra tape for isolation, and you are secure the way that is done in the movie

So don't hurry and let the party games begin!!!

PS: You need a original game in order to download a backup and play legally

Put electrical tape on bottom of modchip (flat side)..... also put electrical tape on the console face (shiney surface) not the drive but the console the drive fits to , that way you don't have tape ontop of your modchip and the conductive surface atop your modchip is covered , follow me . If you hardwire your chip use a sticker like cover for the bottom and hot glue the modchip to the board (small amount) that way if you have to remove it later the sticker will peel from glue.
