Please Help Wasabi V1 Wiiclip D2B Solderless - Wiihacks

Hello,

I bought the Wasabi V1 with V5 Wiiclip presoldered. I have a D2B chipset. When I install the clip the DVD drive doesn't work. When I ask for help from the site I bought the chip they just refer me to [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register].
This site leads me to believe I have to cut 4 lines and link the F Points. The chip didn't come with a wire to it so I don't know if I'm supposed to.

Other steps it says on the website it to do the following and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to or not.

#1 If your WII is D2B chipset, need short the "D2B" jumper of V5 CLIP - How do i do that?
#2 If your WII is USA version, need short the jumper "1" of WASABI chip - Where is this at?

Can someone just tell me what steps in order and how to install this chip that was sold to me as solderless.

you need to short points D+E , and also cut the 4 traces. jumper 1 is located in the corner, you will see 1 and 2

Thank you for replying. Can you please advise what you mean by "short points D+E" Does that mean combine them together? Do I need a Soldering tool to do that?

yes you would combine them, and yes a soldering iron is required. you would also need to solder F point from the chip to the board.
