Wasabi 1.4 Beta - Upgrade and Config Disc Released
31st of October 2008 - Upgrade & Config Disc 1.4 beta
Upgrade Disc 1.4 is now available, packed with great new features ! After upgrading, you could use the same disc to enter a configuration menu that lets you enable/disable Wii Region Free, GC Audio Fix, Update blocker and allows you to change drive read speed.

Awesome! Looks like I'll finally have to update my Wasabi. I especially like the brick blocker feature, even though I patch the games I burn with WIU, but a little extra paranoia never hurt anyone.

Hey admiral victorinox, just got word from home my chip has arrived! Now I really do hope it will work. I've been reading a lot about drives not spinning up and am hoping these are more like exceptions to the rule kind of issues.
I've just tried it again and I'm getting some strange unreadable webpage as error. Probably Chinese:-). You are using this link, aren't you?

when i clicked yours i saw chinese, but when i did it off the website it worked fine so try that
and the odds of a drive dying are low its mostly due to people being stupid
