Wasabe 3 + Wiiclip 5B disc won't eject and won't start spinning!

Hi guys I'm new on this forum but I hope you guys can help me.
I successfully installed a Wasabi V3 on a D2E drive.
The chip works perfect (using a clip) but it had some problems with ejecting the disc.
This was with the update version 1.2.
When I hold down the eject button it finally ejects.
So I thought, why not update to 1.3 maybe the problem would go away.
So I did, after the update same issue.
I need to hold down the eject button for it to eject and when I put a disc in
I need to press eject to let the disc start spinning.
When I remove the chip i've still got the same issue.
And there couldn't been any bend pins cause I only placed the clip on the board (carefully).
Please advice.....

If you remove the WiiClipped Wasabi .. and still have the same problem .. it's not the mod-chip.

Are you saying you did NOT have this eject problem BEFORE you installed the mod-chip?

I think so.
The Wii is not mine and I didn't test it before modding.
But I'm pretty sure that it worked before.
I also have read some threads somewhere on the net about having trouble with the new Wasabi on D2E drives.
But what can I do to fix this problem?
And what modchip is the best for D2E drives?
Maybe the new WiiKey that is coming soon?

the new wiikey is here already and works great on the d2e, however the problem you're having is odd.

If you have a magnifying glass you will want to check the chips that the wiiclip goes onto that it hasnt bent any of the pins up.

I will do that once I get my hands on that Wii again.
I'll keep posting this issue until it is solved or find a solution for it.
But maybe this issue is odd because it is a PAL Wii and most of you use NTSC Wii's.
But wich chip works best (flawless) for all the drives?
And has the new WiiKey got some issue's?

I finally got an e-mail from the Wasabi team they said:

Like you said even if you remove the chip the problem persist and this sounds like an hardware problem with the eject button or internal part of your wii, Ware sorry but we cannot help you on this side.

In other words....... the drive is F****D
So I will get a new drive.
But it still remains an odd issue.
Could it be that the clip have cause this problem?

if you can take high res picutres of the chipset , or scan in the board you can take a better look and see if there is anything causing it.

Thanks for the advice but another modder already looked at the Wii.
He put a new drive in but still the Wii isn't stable.
I don't know it in detail because it is not my Wii.
But it makes you think.

So you changed out the drive .. and still have the same problem? Then you know it "IS" your Wii.

Have you tried using the eject button WITHOUT the faceplate? Perhaps it's as simple as your eject switch not reaching the button .. or a problem with the eject button hardware.

The drive .. while containing the Drive Chip .. where your mod-chip will go .. is independant from the rest of the system. The eject hardware is on the main board .. below the drive itself.
