How can you get a Wasabi (v3) Wii-Clip (v5b) to work with a DMS drive? - Wiihacks

a friend (who doesn't know what they are doing) gave me a real (bought it through modcentral) wii-chip with wasabi 3 for a present (without doing research)
I own a DMS WII

after installing my wii clip (v5b wasabi 3) for a DMS drive isn't working... i'm getting a green light and my drive won't spin.

i went to the wii clip website and it said to cut the lines for version V5a but i have a V5b so.. being a noob i'm not sure what that means.. can you by any chance give me some instructions on how to my make my wasabi version 3 wii-clip V5b work?

Hi,
You'd still cut the same 4 traces, make sure the dms jumper is set as well.

okay i'll cut the lines (razorblade or scissors) and it the clip came pre jumped from F to Q would that matter...would f to q also work instead of F to F?

f to q is fine, leave it like that. all you need to do is cut the traces, id use a stanley knife, but scissor or a blade could work. also make sure the DMS jumpers are set.

all set.. once i cut the lines and resoldered the DMS gold plates it worked great...
