Well actually the newer wiis don't have the pins cut anymore. It comes with the epoxy covering the legs of the IC and the cut pins you are talking about is the D2B chipset.....that has gone a long time ago, so you will have to check the wii to see if it is a D2E chipset.
Plus....check the serial number using the wii serial tracker website, to verify that you have the cutpin D2B chipset.
